The Gazette: Oh Yes They Are… Panto Stars Say Hello At Park

August 11th, 2015

bpoolgazette15bThe stars of this year’s Grand Theatre pantomime will be meeting fans at Stanley Park.

Su Pollard, Dan Whiston and Steve Royle – as well as some ‘very special guests’ – will all be at the Snow White And The Seven Drawfs family fun day on Friday, August 21.

The event at the bandstand, from 1pm to 3pm, will include free activities and giveaways, plus a live broadcast by
Radio Wave. The Grand will also be hosting a fairytale fancy dress competition for children, with a chance to win a family ticket to see the panto over the Christmas spell.

Su Pollard – best known for her turn as dizzy chalet maid Peggy Ollerenshaw in TV classic Hi De Hi! – will make her return to the Grand as the Wicked Queen in the festive family special. Her most recent appearances include the evil Miss Hannigan in Annie in 2011 and in 2008 production Shout! with Claire Sweeney.
