In 1982 Su visited her home town of Nottingham and made a special show for the BBC. She met up with lots of old friends, as well as her sister Jean, and revisited many of her old haunts.

"I'm taking orders for curtains" hollered Su, in reference to the dress she wore for her first appearance on Russell Harty's chat show. Su reminisced about being a typist, Opportunity Knocks and generally caused chaos. She also performed 'The Way We Were'.

Su emerged as Peggy before being "stripped" by a dancer and launching into various songs, including a Shirley Temple number!

Su and the other Hi-De-Hi! regulars popped into the Saturday morning children's show for a chat and some telephone calls.

Su also appeared on BBC Breakfast Time in 1983.

Hosted by Mike 'Frank Butcher' Reid, Su did her stand up routine and then performed 'Mr Henderson' dressed as a '30s cloakroom girl.

Gloria Hunniford interviews Su. She recalls being friends with a drag queen in her late teens, the Silver Jubilee in 1977, and her job as a Public Relations Assistant at the Co-op in Nottingham.

Everyone remembers Su's famous appearance on Aspel & Co. in 1984, especially Michael who managed to exact his revenge on Su five years later on This Is Your Life.
